Banter with: Chelsea & Aza

How did he/she propose?

Aza proposed while we were on holiday in Bunker Bay - he had told me his bosses couldn't use the accomodation so we had gotten it for free, but it was all an elaborate set up!

What unique elements or DIY details did you include?

Our centrepieces were made from secondhand books, we had a sign at the bar that said 'Franks Bar & Bistro" - this is what we call my dad's outdoor bar at home.

What did you envision your wedding being prior to planning?

I envisioned it being fun, full of dancing and love. We wanted everyone to leave thinking they could have stayed and danced all night!

Tell us about your flowers, your gown, your favors, your cake, etc.

Our flowers were all artificial as we both have incredibly bad hayfever. We wanted to bring out the kind of autumn vibes with the terracotta and dusky rose colour scheme. My gown was the Saffron gown by Evie Young, found at Luv Bridal. It was not what I was picturing but my bridesmaid Flik pulled it off the rack for me to try on and I fell in love! Our favours were one of the first things we decided on - I saw the idea of the little honey jars with the punny sticker and thought it was right up our alley. We both love a good pun and we thought it would be a cute momento - we got a few pictures the next day of people using them on their cereal which was great! Our cake was a classic chocolate mud cake and it was delicious. We originally were going to go for a fancy flavour but thought we'd rather go for a crowd pleaser. So many people complimented us on the desserts and especially the cake.

What was your favourite moment?

Too many too count!! I absolutely loved the last few songs of the night, jumping around on the dancefloor to the songs we grew up with. One of the stand out memories for both of us was the dancefloor filling with people dancing the choreography!!

Any other cool stories about the day?

The groom doing a shoey during the bridal party photos was pretty fantastic
